Tour Itinerary

Driving Time: Approximately 1.5 hours
Walking Time: 4–5 hours

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Leaving the bustling city behind, you’ll travel south towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing olive groves, small villages, and scenic mountain landscapes before arriving in the charming village of Imlil (1,740 m), the gateway to Mount Toubkal.

Meet your local mountain guide, mule team, and cook before beginning your trek. Follow beautiful trails through walnut orchards and traditional Berber villages, where you’ll experience the warm hospitality of the local people and admire centuries-old stone houses built into the mountainside.

Continue towards the sacred village of Sidi Chamharouch, an important pilgrimage site surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch along the route before reaching your guesthouse or mountain lodge.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Walking Time: 5–6 hours

After breakfast, continue your ascent deeper into Toubkal National Park. Today’s trail gradually climbs through dramatic rocky valleys, alpine landscapes, and mountain streams as the vegetation slowly disappears and the scenery becomes increasingly rugged.

Take plenty of breaks to enjoy the incredible views while your guide shares stories about the local wildlife, geology, and Berber mountain traditions.

Arrive at the Toubkal Refuge (approximately 3,200 m), your base camp for the summit attempt. Spend the afternoon relaxing, acclimatizing to the altitude, and preparing your equipment for the early morning climb.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Walking Time: 7–9 hours

Today is the highlight of your adventure.

Before sunrise, enjoy an early breakfast before beginning the ascent under the stars. The climb follows rocky mountain trails and gradually gains elevation until reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest point in North Africa.

From the summit, enjoy spectacular panoramic views stretching across the High Atlas Mountains, the Anti-Atlas range, vast desert landscapes, and, on exceptionally clear days, all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

After celebrating your achievement and taking memorable photographs, descend carefully back to the refuge for a well-deserved lunch and an afternoon of rest.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Walking Time: 6–7 hours

After breakfast, leave the refuge behind and follow mountain trails over a scenic high mountain pass into the beautiful Azzaden Valley.

This less-visited valley offers a completely different landscape, with green terraces, juniper forests, waterfalls, and traditional Berber villages surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

Enjoy lunch surrounded by nature before continuing to a traditional guesthouse where you’ll spend the night.

Relax with a delicious homemade Moroccan dinner while enjoying the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
